Clayton Blizzard
Ya Basta Hermanos
The Streets meets The Comedy Store in this Political-Rap-Comedy from Bristol’s Clayton Blizzard.
Now, a lot of work has gone into the backing track and samples, and they fit together well to drive the song with purpose, while Blizzard delivers his Grant Sharkey vs Mark Thomas style lyrics in a trademark Bristolian accent.
It’s almost cliche now to probe the political satire surrounding the likes of the Bush administration and Guantanamo Bay, but to be fair, they’re still being held without charge aren’t they? So why shouldn’t we still be outraged, albeit in a humorous non-committal way?
If you liked Goldie Looking Chain, then Clayton Blizzard is your intellectual equivalent.
