The Electric Cinema - Cut Down

The Electric Cinema
Cut Down

The Electric Cinema return with a stomp-beated eclectic-pop second single and find themselves amongst the current love for a splash of seventies-reference.

‘Cut Down’ benefits from being captured in an immaculate recording where every flicker from every instrument is clearly audible. The piano tinkles in the background, the bass is substantial and the guitars have a great tone.

The second side, ‘Diagrams’, is another great song with a bit more bounce and, more importantly, a great vocal play-off towards the end of the record that brings to mind some of those moments created by The Feeling.

This is a very pleasing single.
