Dogs
Soldier On

The first few seconds of Dogs’ ‘Soldier On’ are very promising seconds indeed. Shades of political punk seem to be on offer and I’m raring for it all to kick in.

Admittedly, the verse is not quite as ballsy as I was expecting, but the redeeming quality for Dogs is that they sound like Stiff Little Fingers playing with the energy and passion of their youth and the wholly more crafted musicianship of their current lineup.

With a bit more bite, Dogs could worm their way into my punk hall of fame.
