Older and Wiser
Kicking off with some funky bass, FC20 introduce us gradually to their indie/hip-hop sound. ‘Older and Wiser’ really is a case of Britpop meets Busta Rhymes and while very different from the norm, it really works.
What makes this record so special is the quality is there throughout, guitars sparkling while the heavy vocal raps through the verse. The vocals then mix with an indie melody answering the calls in the chorus.
FC20 have definitely made an impact on me – this is a really interesting hybrid sound that really could catch on.
