Twenty Twenty
Get Down

Twenty Twenty haven’t taken long to make a massive impression and listening to ‘Get Down’ its easy to understand exactly why that is.

This is the kind of song you won’t shift from your head. Elements of Owl City, Allister, You Me At Six, and even Boys Like Girls are all packed into a crisp and punchy work of genius. A crunch guitar intro and melodic verse soon develop into a big hooky chorus that you just want to sing along to.

It’s a sonically perfect teenage anthem with a middle eight that sums up the teen love angst vibe perfectly:

Knocked down! As you race by.
I’m… Flat out! As you choose the other guy
And I’ll stand this one out
Cause your just something I’ll learn to live without

If you aren’t joining in on the woah-oh-oh chorus decoration by the end of the first play, then check you have a pulse. For those that miss the old Drive-Thru records roster then Twenty Twenty are more than capable of bringing back the energy and excitement of those great times.
