Mary Lyrics

It’s another massive track from Lauran Hibberd with ‘Mary’ and this single comes with the announcement of a new album. That means we can start looking forward to Girlfriend Material, which will arrive on 22nd March 2024. That’s not too far away, right?

Well, ‘Mary’ is a song about going on a double date and realizing that it’s the other girl you want, not the guy you’ve been paired with. It’s delivered with a neat verse, and a fab pre-chorus that uses something like a Violette to create a great lyrical rhythm.

As with almost every chorus Lauran has ever penned, it’s a melodic anthem. The thing with Lauran Hibberd is that you start to create a playlist and before you know it, all her songs are on it. This one is now, too.

I absolutely loved Garageband Superstar and still listen to that album front-to-back with no skips. I’ve got a fuzzy feeling that Girlfriend Material is going to be another stunner.
