Bliss
Jump to...
‘Bliss’ is the seventh song we’ve heard from Cartographer and it’s another powerful djent track with awesome rhythmic swish. My first question when a band has seriously skilful chops like Cartographer is… can they write a song? And there are seven exhibits in evidence to say they can.
The intro is ambient, the verse chugs along and the chorus is the audio equivalent of an aircraft hanger… it’s massive, spacious, and contains expensive-sounding things. Skies’ vocal has the melody, power, and fry to really make the song smack.
The song will land on their second EP (the first was Metamorphosis, in 2023) and there’s another single coming that hopefully continues the Bonnie and Clyde themed video (below).
I love this band. I can’t wait for the next single.

Bliss Lyrics
Getting wrapped up in all of this
Feels like time doesn’t exist
Floating in the sky I’m in a cloud of Bliss
Things that are meant to be should be effortlessConsider letting go
Are we past the point of giving up?
So scared to know
If I’ll ever be good enoughDon’t wanna dive in too soon
I can’t fall in too deep
I may never resurface
But I’m hoping you’re worth itLittle thoughts spinning in my head
Is this what I wanted?
Spiral into one another
Over my head or going under
Stop turning away
There’s no backing out nowConsider letting go
Are we past the point of giving up?
So scared to know
If I’ll ever be good enoughDon’t wanna dive in too soon
I can’t fall in too deep
I may never resurface
But I’m hoping you’re worth itI can’t find myself
I’m out of breath and I want more
You’ve got what I needDon’t wanna dive in too soon
I can’t fall in too deep
I may never resurface
But I’m hoping you’re worth itI wanna dive in with you
Fall into this with me
I may never resurface
But I’m hoping you’re worth itGetting wrapped up in all of this
Feels like time doesnt exist
Floating in the sky I’m in a cloud of Bliss
Things that are meant to be should be effortless
