Kiss Me Again

Yes! Smitten is out and we’re getting to it. In the meantime, we’re going nowhere… just for tonight! ‘Kiss Me Again’ is the single that accompanies the new album – like an usher waving you in – and it’s a cracker.

Neat guitar motif, shimmering introductory bars, smooth verse, and wondrous chorus. It’s got all the stuff we’ve loved from the singles we’ve been given for Smitten. As with all their albums, the lyrics are at least semi-biographical and this one certainly adheres to the album’s title with its lovestruck (though one-night only) feel.

We’ve got a neat stack of singles to get through, but we’ll return shortly to talk all about the album. The singles have set a high bar… so I hope the rest of the album lives up to my expectations!

Kiss Me Again Lyrics

I’m in this room but there’s unfamiliar faces
Then you walk by me
And my mind goes to places
You’re dressed in leather
I feel a little better
Imagining us together

It’s a temporary love exchange
So let’s be honest

It’s going nowhere
It’s just for tonight
Somehow I don’t care
No, I don’t mind
Just want attention and your touch, oh
Let’s not think too much
Hands in your long hair
Just come on and kiss me again
Just come on and kiss me again

It’s just a moment
No need for explanation
Just body language
A lack of conversation
Call it pathetic or poetic
I’m just used to being lonely
But I like the way you hold me

So let’s be honest

It’s going nowhere
It’s just for tonight
Somehow I don’t care
No, I don’t mind
Just want attention and your touch, oh
Let’s not think too much
Hands in your long hair
Just come on and kiss me again
Just come on and kiss me again

So let’s be honest

It’s going nowhere
It’s just for tonight
Somehow I don’t care
No, I don’t mind
Just want attention and your touch, oh
Let’s not think too much
Hands in your long hair
Just come on and kiss me again

It was short
But oh so sweet
One time only company, yeah
It was short
But oh so sweet
I’m waiting for it
So come on and kiss me again
