Candi Carpenter- All The Things She Said (feat. Kalie Shorr)

Tour co-headliners, Candi Carpenter and Kalie Shorr, have teamed up for a double-single. On side A is t.A.T.u’s ‘All The Things She Said’, and on side A2 is a polished version of their recent improvised song ‘I Didn’t Die’.

For the first of the two a-sides, we can speak in terms of the differences to t.A.T.u’s industrial-pop track. Everyone has heard this track and if they blush when they deny it… you know what that means. The Carpenter/Shorr version has more rock punch than the original. The guitars are dialled up and there’s less dependence on that flickering synth – but is pretty faithful to the structure and hooks of the 2002 classic.

The flip side, ‘I Didn’t Die’, started off as an improvised track shared on social before being turned into a full single. It’s got pop sensibilities with added rock fuzz. With some great lyrical moments, the song translated well from the original moment.

Kalie and I decided to turn my little after-work-improv (from the viral video) into a real song. THANK YOU for over 35 million views and climbing! Whaaat?! We love and appreciate you so much. WE FUCKING SURVIVED! Here’s to surviving the rest of 2024 together.
