Til It’s Over

As Thru It All tours the US, we grabbed a moment to sit down with recent single, ‘Til It’s Over’. This band usually supply a decent slice of emo with an alt-rock edge and this is just such an example.

The song is built initially on a solid beat that the guitars and bass enhance with stabs of sound. This mutates through an intrumental pre-chorus into a chorus that’s thick and rich. Sparkles of guitar decorate the edges and then provide the passage into a very different second verse. There’s a dark sounding breakdown, and the the chorus returns.

The vocals slide effortlessly from the predominant melodic rock into more hardcore-tinged moments. Just as the intrumentation transforms, so does the voice. It’s a very cohesive song with plenty of variation that you subconciously appreciate as you’re swept along with the energy.

You can catch them throughout February, March, and April. Check their site to see if they’re coming to your state.
