Rachel is back with a new single and an EP called Little House, which arrives on April 4, 2025. There’s also a cool white-vinyl version of her album coming out a month later.

This song has that light and summery indie sound that Rachel Chinouriri does so well. Though the album had some darker moments than previous singles (including the amazing single ‘The Hills’ – a song that I cannot stop playing).

It’s super smooth and it lifts you to join it as it floats along. It’s like Foals collaborating with Harry Styles and it’s perfect for Rachel to whip up the feels with her melody and lyrics. And speaking of the lyrics, they bring a great slow-fast-slow rhythm that brings additional interest.

‘Can We Talk About Isaac?’ is out and out romantic, sharing the story of how Rachel met Isaac and how his six-foot-one perfection and cute smile put her in a spin.

I write songs from a place of trauma but since releasing my album, I’ve consistently been in therapy and fell in love. Isaac makes me feel so protected and I’ve never felt protected really in my life, especially from men. I just felt so much of a new emotion I decided to let myself write about how much I love him, no matter what happens the fact that Isaac is the first and only guy to make me feel like this is special. It’s a shame that it took that to love myself but Isaac is my hero and I hope this fairy tale never ends.

I love the brightness of this song, which flickers of early songs like ‘All I Ever Asked’ and ‘I’m Not Perfect (But I’m Trying)’. I’m looking forward to the EP!

Can We Talk About Isaac Lyrics

I’m not sure if I should be here
I feel underdressed and I look like a mess
I’m in pieces
He had a little black coat , 6ft 1 and a cute smile
With two pints in his hands he came over and said nice to meet you

Juniper the berry and the wood it burns
Protect me as I take these sacrifices

I looked at your face
And I knew that I’d found it
I don’t know nobody who knows somebody like you
You’ve got me spun
In radio silence
And now I gotta call somebody to tell somebody ’bout you
Can we talk about Isaac?
Can we talk about Isaac!

He’s so perfect God I hate him
Feel so undeserving
I love that he’s like this
I hate that I’m like this

Sabotage the enemy of what once was protect me as I take these sacrifices
You deserve somebody who throws their arms around you in august blue horizons

I looked at your face
And I knew that I’d found it
I don’t know nobody who knows somebody like you
You’ve got me spun
In radio silence
And now I gotta call somebody to tell somebody ’bout you
Can we talk about Isaac?
Can we talk about Isaac!

I’m about to scream coz I’m getting excited
You’re a supernova and I go where the light it
If we’re gonna cry can we do it in silence
But if we’re gonna talk can we talk about Isaac

I looked at your face
And I know that I like it
I don’t know nobody who knows somebody like you
You’ve got me spun in radio silence
And now I gotta call somebody to tell somebody ’bout you
Can we talk about Isaac?
Can we talk about Isaac?
