Geisha
She’s My Geisha

With guitars that palm-mute their way into references with Jimmy Eat World and Semisonic. They use an eerie vocal effect that needs a much cleaner treatment to fit in with the gritty rock vibe that kicks in later in the track.

Despite this, Geisha’s semi-self-titled track isn’t a bad effort at all.

In fact, if the vocal had less of that late-60s psychedelic plate-reverb, this would be an indie-grunge crossbreed with enough whimper to win over the rock-teen market and enough bite to please the more selective aging-grunger.
