Walk Don’t Walk
Day From Hell
Remember The Ordinary Boys? Remember how their first two albums were rich in ska influences and more than a hint of potential before Preston went and sold himself out on some God-awful reality TV show?
Well, step forward Birmingham’s Walk Don’t Walk. You see, these boys have made the single that would make Preston wish he’d pulled his head out of his backside and made.
This ballsy assault on the eardrums is impossible to sit still to. An upbeat horn-fest with confrontational lyrics like ‘You want to talk to her? You’ll have to get past me first’, this is an angst-filled, punk-tinged two-tone sound for the iTunes generation.
Vocalist Rob Pearson could easily be the son of Joe Strummer which is just one of many reasons that ‘Day From Hell’ is a joy to behold. Walk Don’t Walk clearly have one foot in the past with their eyes firmly fixed on a very exciting future.
