Pink Widow
Remains of Humanity EP
Pink Widow successfully fuse several strands of the metal genre into a frantic and varied single. Not only that, but they also sprinkle on a tiny bit of Duran Duran. It’s tiny, granted, but it’s there!
What makes this record stand out is the constant gear-changing tempo. It can be hurtling along at one second, then grinding into a stomping pace the next. Add to this some insanely fast fret-work and a vocal that goes from nought to ten on the shred-scale and you’ve got plenty of variations to a theme.
This single contains three very different songs that all use this variety as an arsenal to batter you into submission, before winding you into a sticky ball to store on their web.
