Skunk Anansie formed in London in 1994 and are a Britrock/clit-rock band that mix punk, metal, and black feminist rage. Their influences include Sex Pistols, Blondie, dub, reggae, electronica, hip-hop and world music.
Band members: Deborah ‘Skin’ Dyer (vocals and backing vocals, keyboard, echo), Mark Richardson (drums), Martin ‘Ace’ Kent (guitar), and Richard ‘Cass’ Lewis (bass).
